The public is invited to “An Evening with Ram Restaurant” Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Greene County High School.
The Hospitality I class is planning the upscale, three-course meal as its biggest project for the trimester. Students in the class learn about different areas of the hospitality industry including food and beverage, lodging and travel.
The students have planned the menu with an eye to using as many local products as possible. Diners will have their choice of grilled Moo Meat New York strip au poivre, pan seared salmon or classic fried chicken.
Students have been honing their back of house and front of house skills as they prepare for the evening.
There will be three meal seatings – 5:30, 7, and 8:30 pm. Meal reservations should be made by calling 515-3862188 or online
The cost of the meal is $30. Proceeds will help pay for another student-planned educational experience – a trip by Amtrak to Fraser, CO – during which students will look at all parts of the hospitality industry.
